god and jesus |
|
I think that it is important to have a relationship with god or whatever you believe in because it could help you be successful and could boost your self confidence if you and what you believe in have a good relationship.
God cares about us in many ways. One big thing that he has done is given us the blessing of having jesus, catholics pray to jesus to get to god. Catholics love jesus because of what he has done for us in our live. He has helped us all be better people in the long run and made sure that we lover ourselves and others. Jesus challenges me to love myself and others with challenges, he challenges us all to make us better people. At the time it may seem unfair and horrible but in the long run it will all play out and make you a better stronger person. |
Prayer
In my opinion Prayer is useful if you are trying to gain a relationship between jesus and god. Many people pray for different occasions. Some people pray for forgiveness as that is one of the biggest things people pray for. I myself do not pray alone but I do during mass because I feel like it .

My Lord Jesus Christ,
I believe that You are really here in this Sacrament. Night and day You remain here compassionate and loving. You call, You wait for, You welcome everyone who comes to visit You. I thank You, Jesus my Divine Redeemer for coming upon the earth for our sake and for instituting the Adorable Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist in order to remain with us until the end of the world. I thank You for hiding beneath the Eucharistic species Your infinite majesty and beauty, which Your Angels delight to behold, so that I might have courage to approach the throne of Your mercy. I thank You dear Jesus, for having become the priceless Victim, to merit for me the fullness of heavenly favors. Awaken in me such confidence in You that their fullness may descend ever more fruitfully upon my soul. I thank You for offering Yourself in thanksgiving to God for all His benefits, spiritual and temporal which He has bestowed on me. Grant me grace and perseverance in your faithful service. Amen. |

"Stay with us today, and stay from now on, every day, according
to the desire of my heart, which accepts the appeal of so many hearts from various parts, sometimes far away... Stay that we may meet You in prayers of adoration and thanksgiving, in prayers of expiation and petition to which all those who visit this basilica are invited... May the unworthy successor of Peter and all those who take part in the adoration of Your Eucharistic Presence attest with every visit and make ring out again the truth contained in the Apostle's words: 'Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.' Amen". |
Christian prayer
Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. Prayer is the place of admitting our need, of adopting humility, and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the practice of Christians. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through the Son of God, and Jesus. In Luke 11 and Matthew 6, Jesus spoke of prayer with his disciples. One of them asked, "Lord, teach us to pray," so he taught them The Lord's Prayer.

Forgive us the wrongs we have done, as we forgive the wrongs that others have done to us. Matthew 6:12, TEV
Lord our God, we thank you for the great light you send throughout the world to let us know that you forgive, that no sin is too great for you to forgive. Grant that people may cry out, "Have mercy on me, O God!" Give them the spirit of prayer in their hearts to call, "Father, forgive us our sins." Send your Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth and humility, and then forgive their sins. Wherever a soul is sighing, wherever someone is calling to you, hear him. May our prayers come before your throne. Hear and answer us. We have so much on our hearts that we cannot rightly express it all. We pray for others too. Father, forgive them. Clear away all the obstacles so that your judgment can be merciful toward those whom you forgive. Be with us. May we be a church community of Jesus Christ, washed in his blood, with strength to face every bitter outburst of the world's fury and still forgive. May our prayer remain, "Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us." Amen. |
