Stress reduction stratagies
There is many different ways to reduce stress, from being alone and watching t.v to doing some physical activity. What I do is usually go for walks or go to the gym. I do this because the exercise releases good feel better hormones. One big stress reduction thing that you could do is just do something that you like. One big thing that most people think is healthy is just being alone and thinking but that is a horrible idea because then you just elaborate on your bad thoughts. Another somewhat bad thing to do is something to do with people or stuff you you dont like.
Staying safe online
There is so many different ways to be safe online. It is pretty much just using common sense. Don't talk to anyone you don't know or accept friend requests or anything like that. Be appropriate and don't post or send anything you wouldn't show everybody. But over everything just use common sense, if you even think something might not be appropriate, don't do it!
One positive thing for technology is that you can save memories and be connected to people who moved away or something like that. One negative reason for technology is you can get into a lot of trouble with everything on the internet and social media. |

What is mental health?
Mental health is the condition someone is in based on there physiological and emotional well-being. I beilieve that actually knowing what mental health is very important because not many people in society really understand. Most of them think that it is just being handicapped or depressed or something like that, but that is not at all what mental health is! Mental health is the condition your in based on what is going on with you mentally.
The photo above describes what the mental health continuum is. It is basically the different mental states you can being. The first two -Green and Yellow- are pretty normal, you can correct them by self care and social support such as talking to a friend or something. But the other two are more severe
Contemplation means profound thinking about something. I think this is related to mental health because it is the way that you think about something or someone. If your "Contemplation goes up" you will be a much happier and healthier person.

Mindfulness means that you focus on what is going on now and not what might end up happening in the future. This would most definitely make you a mentally healthier person because it would bring down stress and anxiety and also worries. |
Rule of 5
The rule of 5 is recognizing the situation and determining if this is going to affect you in 5 minutes, 5 hours, 5 days, 5 weeks, 5 months, and 5 years. Most of the time it will not affect you for too long and that will relief a lot of stress. |
Physical Activity
This will help you feel a lot better by releasing a lot of good hormones which will make you feel mentally and physically better. |
Friends
Being around good friends that will help and listen to you will make you feel better because it will make you feel welcomed and like there are people there for you. |
Advent
Advent is when we prepare ourselves for a big event, that event is the coming of Jesus. We open our hearts and try to be better people to help us get our spirits ready for jesus. Advent lasts 4 weeks, and every sunday of a new week you light a new candle along with the last. The first week you light the hope candle then the love candle, joy candle and then finally the peace candle along with the jesus candle. During this time we get our hearts and spirits more prepared for the coming. There are 4 candles, they all represent Hope, Love, Joy, Peace, and occasionally there is a white one that represents Jesus. Three are purple, one is Pink, and the Jesus candle is white. It is the time before Jesus comes. It is a huge Religious event.
The Faithful are asked 3 things: To prepare themselves worthily to celebrate the anniversary of the lord’s coming into the world as the incarnate of God of love, Thus, make their souls fitting abodes for the Redeemer coming in Holy communion and through grace, and Thereby to make themselves ready for His final coming as judge, at death and at the end of the world. |
